Day 01: Arrival at
Mumbai
On
arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, our representative
will meet you to pick you up and transfer to your hotel. Rest of
the day is at your leisure.
Overnight Stay in Hotel
Day 02 : Mumbai - Aurangabad
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Travel around Mumbai for a
city tour. See the Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Hanging
Gardens, Chowpatty Beach and Prince of Wales Museum. Transfer to
the airport to board the flight to Aurangabad.

Day 03 : Aurangabad
After breakfast, proceed for a day's tour of the Ajanta Caves.
These Buddhist caves, were carved out of rock on a hillside in
Maharashtra, in the first and second centuries B.C. Some of the
caves are monasteries or prayer halls. Others have sculptures
and paintings on the walls that depict the life of Buddha and
events from the Jataka Tales. The Ajanta caves are a UNESCO
World Heritage Site.

Day 04 : Aurangabad
After breakfast, proceed for a day's tour of the Ellora Caves.
These Buddhist, Jain and Hindu caves, carved from rock during
the 5th to the 13th century A.D., are renowned for their
sculpture and workmanship. The Ellora Caves are a UNESCO World
Heritage Site. Travel to the nearby Aurangabad Caves. These 12
caves are carved to form Viharas or monasteries and have some
fine Buddhist carvings and sculpture. Travel 13 km from
Aurangabad to see the Daulatabad Fort, also known as Devagiri.
Built by a Yadava king in the 12th century, it was briefly the
capital of the Delhi Sultanate when Muhammed Bin Tughlaq renamed
it Daulatabad. The fort has defensive walls, underground tunnels
and palaces. The Chand Minar, a 30-meter high tower decorated
with glazed tiles and carvings is a well-known landmark that you
will see when you travel to Daulatabad Fort.

Day 05 : Aurangabad - Mumbai
After breakfast transfer to the airport for the flight to
Mumbai. Arrive in Mumbai and check into the hotel. Later
proceed for an excursion to the Elephanta Caves. These rock cut
caves on Gharapuri Island in Mumbai Harbor are situated an
hour's ferry ride away from the Gateway of India. The sculptures
and carvings dedicated to Shiva within the caves are truly
breathtaking. The Elephanta Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage
site.
